We Eloped — In the Mountains, With Love
We’re so happy to share that we eloped — in beautiful Telluride, Colorado, surrounded by mountains, fresh air, and everything we needed for a day that felt entirely true to us. It was peaceful, personal, and full of meaning — exactly the kind of start we hoped for.
We know traditional weddings can be incredible, but we chose a quieter path — and along the way, we realized it offered a few unexpected gifts for everyone involved.
The Cost of Showing Up
The average guest spends between $500 and $1,500 to attend a wedding, from flights and hotels to outfits, gifts, and time off work. By keeping things intimate, we’ve saved you the stress and expense — and hope you treat yourself to something wonderful instead.
A Smaller Celebration, A Smaller Footprint
A typical wedding can create over 50 tons of carbon emissions, mostly from travel and large-scale energy use. By staying local and keeping things simple, we were able to reduce the environmental impact and spend the day surrounded by nature — with Phoebe trotting happily nearby.
No Registry, But a Small Note
We’re not asking for gifts — we’re lucky to have what we need, and we're trying to keep life simple and meaningful. That said, if you do want to mark the occasion, we’re saving thoughtfully for our first home together.
